Our trip to the beach

We've been way too busy to post....but I know we have loyal followers :-) So here is a picture of us at the beach on Monday. We had a great time. We also visited a military museum on the same day....we saw all sorts of old guns, cannons, and swords. Uncle Rich met us there so he could tell us all about it.

Yesterday we went to the homeschool co-op again and the local police dogs (3 of them) came and gave us a demo. It was SUPER cool!! The dogs names were Vader, Jordan, and Havoc.

The 10 day waiting period of Everlyn is half over and we are eager to return to home to meet her....maybe even for Halloween :-)

We have a new sister....officially!!!!

Aunt Rhonda said Mom & Dad went to court this AM and Everlyn is now our sister!!!!! WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!! We don't have a ton of information yet because we thought they weren't going to court until Monday or Tuesday....but we're SO EXCITED!!!!!

We can't wait to go home and meet her!! Still have a while though because of the waiting period and the travel....but we're closer.

A long holiday weekend

Aunt Rhonda realized we have posted in several days...sorry about that. We took a LONG holiday weekend off since Uncle Rich had a 4 day weekend for Columbus Day. Saturday was soccer games for the cousins, Sunday was church activities, Monday we just hung out and played, and Tuesday we went to their homeschool co-op again. We've really enjoyed making some new friends as well. Tonight we went to AWANA again. We are having a really good time at AWANA :-)

Everyday Aunt Rhonda shows us the new pictures that Mom & Dad are taking of Everlyn. We skyped with Mom yesterday for her birthday too. We still don't know exactly when they'll be home but we're settled in here at Aunt Rhonda's with a decent routine...so waiting isn't that bad. We miss them of course but are having fun playing with the cousins and making some new friends.

We won't be going anywhere for the next few days except maybe to the neighborhood playground. A friend of Aunt Rhonda's has been trading vans for the weekdays with her so we can all ride together (theirs seats 8, Aunt Rhonda's only seats 7). But we had to give it back a few days early this week so we'll be sticking closer to home unless our oldest cousin babysits some of us for Aunt Rhonda to run errands. That's OK though since it's supposed to rain anyway. Just means more Wii time after school work is completed. (We took a big break when Uncle Rich was off but we started back today!).

We've had a busy week

Sorry we haven't posted in a couple of days but we've been BUSY!!! Wednesday we had homeschool, went to the playground and then AWANA in the evening. Thursday we did some school work in the morning and then went to the VA Living Museum in the afternoon. The picture to the right is at the VLM.

Today we had the day off from school because our Uncle Rich has a 4 day long holiday weekend from his job....so NO SCHOOL...woohoo! The joys of homeschooling!

We've had an exciting day though. Mom & Dad got to meet our new baby sister today. Aunt Rhonda won't post pictures here because Mom will put them on her adoption blog but she is a cutie! We can't wait to meet her!!!

Homeschool Co-op and Soccer Practice

Today we attended a homeschool co-op that my Aunt Rhonda helps to lead. It's sort of like school but just for a few hours and it meets at her church. There are about 50 families and 130 kids from the nursery through high school age....all homeschoolers. We had to be there early because Aunt Rhonda has to setup, etc. Then she has to stay late to help cleanup. So we were able to play in the gym ALOT!!

Then we had a bit of a break before we went to soccer practice. The coach let me and all my siblings (except Fuzz, my baby brother) practice too. Fuzzy was asleep in Aunt Rhonda's van. We had a great time even when the sun started to go down and it got cold.

A friend of Aunt Rhonda's surprised her with dinner for all of us tonight. So after soccer practice, we had yummy spaghetti, bread, salad, and cookies. Tomorrow, we'll have plenty of leftovers!!!

We also got to talk to Mom & Dad for a few minutes on the speakerphone. Skype wasn't working for them due to internet issues...so they called us. We miss them but we're trying to stay busy :-)

Tomorrow we have homeschool and AWANA (a Bible club at church).

Mom & Dad made it to Everlyn's birth country!!!

Aunt Rhonda spoke with Grandma Linda. Mom & Dad made it to the country where our new sister lives now. We're so excited and can't wait to Skype with them soon. But for now, we're doing school work and playing with the cousins. It's raining AGAIN here today so we can't play outside. Tomorrow we're going to a homeschool co-op so we'll have PE time in the church gym....woohoo....we get to run around even if it is raining!!

We went to church while Mom & Dad went to the Airport

This picture is all the cousins before we headed off to church. Everyone really enjoyed Sunday School and Treasure Hunters (childrens' church). We even sat in worship time in front of a Seeing Eye dog....a really nice German Shepherd.

Mom & Dad skyped before we went to church and before they went to the airport to fly to Everlyn.

We got KFC on the way home from church and now we're just going to play the rest of the day while Aunt Rhonda does lesson plans for homeschool and takes our two oldest cousins to their activities (church youth group for one and fencing club for the other).

Just hanging out!

Today we are just hanging out at Aunt Rhonda's house. It's been raining here all week thanks to a tropical storm so it's really soaking wet outside. Ryley (our oldest cousin) baked us brownies and we're patiently waiting for them to cool (ok, not that patiently...lol). Aunt Rhonda took a zillion pictures yesterday to show Mom & Dad that we're ok. She says she'll post some to the blog soon. She's new to the blog world so it may take her a bit. We skyped with Grandma Linda and Mom last night for the first time. It was so cool to see each other on the webcam. We can't wait to see them (plus Dad) via Skype from Everlyn's birth country.
